The Academy is a fully- funded, hybrid, and admission only program for the development of elementary and secondary students, within underserved communities, tailored and based on the expansion of business acumen, financial literacy, and cultivation of STEM aptitude.
Students will have the opportunity to meet and converse with prominent industry leaders from a variety of fields.
Students will apply mathematical process standards to economic thinking and problem solving as a consumer and investor. Topics include the basic of stocks, market mechanics, mock trading competitions, distinguish between debit cards and credit cards and more.
Students will have a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of Statistics, SQL, and Excel, as well as effective data analysis and report writing techniques.
The topics covered will include Interviewing Skills, Resume Creation, Email Etiquette, PowerPoint Presentations, and Networking Fundamentals.
Students will be challenged to design and create innovative solutions to contemporary problems by developing their creativity and critical thinking skills. Students investigate and collaborate through STEM projects. Students will present projects using robotics, coding, and building to an authentic audience. Students gain 21st-century skills, confidence, and curiosity through these activities.
